We believe that a safe and healthy workplace is a fundamental right of every On Assignment employee. It’s one of our core values, and the reason we created our SafetyReady safety training program. In addition to onsite safety inspections of our client facilities prior to making a placement, we also require each candidate to complete the online course and receive a passing score.
You receive training in the essentials, including general safety orientation, injury and illness prevention, hazard communication, and injury management procedures. Depending on the assignment, employees may also receive specialized training that covers the following topics:
• Bloodborne Pathogens and Tuberculosis • Exposure Control • Chemical Hygiene • Respiratory Protection • Avoiding Violence in the Clinical Workplace • Age-Specific Care • Working Around Ionizing Radiation
We also provide training in HIPAA and JCAHO regulations to make sure that you’re fully prepared for your new assignment from day one.
We hope that you enjoy this training, and find it useful. It is something that our clients have asked for, and it makes you a more valued employee.
This training works on any computer with Internet access running Mozilla FireFox 1.0, Internet Explorer 6.0, or Netscape 6.0 or higher. Please disable your pop-up blocker while doing the training as it will prevent you from taking the test.
You don't have to finish an entire course in one sitting. You can get in and out as often as you like, but you have a maximum of 14 days to complete the SafetyReady Training. If you do not complete it in this time, you will need to contact your Recruiter before you can be re-registered.
Navigation and Functionality:
Click the My Training Assignments menu to access your assigned courses.
To begin the course, click the link in blue, i.e. General Safety.
Click the Take Course button. This opens a new window and loads the course.
You can easily navigate to a specific section using the Table of Contents drop-down menu.
You can also navigate page by page using the Back or Next button in the top, right-hand corner.
The test opens in a pop-up window and you click Done after completing all the questions.
The test is automatically graded and you need 70% to pass.
Additional Functions:
To view your status, click My Transcript. This will show you which courses you are currently doing, and which ones you have completed.
All the training courses assigned to you need to show Status: Completed before you have passed your SafetyReady Training.
To update your password and e-mail address, click My Information. Do not update your username.
Troubleshooting If you have problems loading the course material or the test, or if the test hangs while you take it, please email safety@onassignment.com for assistance.
